St. Anthony’s Update – March 17, 2020

Dear St. Anthony’s Family:

After consultation with the priests of the diocese, who were of mixed minds on this matter, and out of deep concern for the health of all our folks, especially our elders, and with due deference to medical and government authorities, it has been decided that all public Masses, events, and gatherings will be canceled throughout the Diocese of Lansing beginning tomorrow morning (March 18, 2020) lasting, for now, through Wednesday of Holy Week (April 8, 2020).

When unable to receive the Eucharist, we may pray the following Spiritual Communion prayer:
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.  I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.  Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.  I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.  Never permit me to be separated from you.  Amen.

Thank you.
